IPS screen upgrade
The transformation mod. A modern IPS panel with adjustable brightness replaces the dim original — colours pop, viewing angles open up, and you can finally play without hunting for a lamp.
Shell replacement
Yellowed, cracked or scratched housings swapped for fresh shells — classic grey, transparent editions or custom colours. Original buttons transferred or renewed.
USB-C rechargeable mod
Retire the AA batteries. A modern lithium cell with USB-C charging, built cleanly inside the original housing.
Speaker replacement
Crackly or dead audio fixed with a new speaker, properly soldered and tested — those chiptunes deserve it.
Capacitor refurb
Ageing capacitors cause dim screens, audio hum and random shutdowns. A full recap makes the board reliable for another decade.

Does an IPS mod damage the original console?
The mod replaces the screen assembly and, on the DMG, requires a small trim of the inner shell (invisible from outside). We keep the original screen and return it with your console if you want it.
Can you restore a fully dead Game Boy?
Usually yes — most "dead" units are corroded battery terminals or failed capacitors, both very fixable. Send photos on WhatsApp and we'll assess it free.
Do you work on the Game Boy Micro or clones?
Micro parts are rare but message us — we'll tell you honestly what's possible. We don't service unlicensed clone consoles.
How do I ship it safely?
Anti-static bag, three layers of bubble wrap, rigid box — full steps in our packing guide. Remove any AA batteries first.
